What is considered a personal, non-commercial use?

For some of our products we offer Personal or Home licenses that are more affordable, but allow personal, non-commercial use only. This means that the software license can only be used by private individuals for purposes other than making money.

For example, if you have a Personal license of a web development software, you are allowed to use it for educational purposes and for creating and maintaining personal and non-profit websites.

You are not allowed to use such software license to create websites that display paid advertising (e.g. AdSense) or represent or advertise commercial products, services or organizations. In these cases it is just fair that you buy the full commercial license.

You can upgrade from Personal to commercial license any time by using the same upgrade option that one would use to upgrade from older version to a newer one.
